About the RIVIERA NAYARIT CVB
Funded by a lodging tax as well in part by our members the Riviera Nayarit Tourism Board Goal is to promote the region to attract visitors and thereby secure prosporous economy for the local comunity.
The Riviera Nayarit Convention & Visitors Bureau (Riviera Nayarit CVB) is a private, non-profit, mutual benefit association composed of approximately 45 direct hotel members, as well as participation from other sectors of the community such as local organizations, businesses, local and state governments, and individuals seeking a better community through the visitor industry.
As a sales and marketing organization, the main objective of the Riviera Nayarit CVB is to promote and market Riviera Nayarit as a vacation destination and convention site. The Riviera Nayarit CVB also represents and supports the interests of the visitor industry as a whole. The majority of funding received by the Riviera Nayarit CVB is derived from Nayarit Tourism Trust Fund. Lodging and other tourism related business in the district raise these funds through a 3% lodging tax for the purpose of promoting tourism in the Riviera Nayarit region. As a membership organization, The Riviera Nayarit CVB also receives some minor financial support from member dues and promotional assistance from the membership through donated in-kind services.
The Riviera Nayarit CVB employs a staff of about 17 full-time people, and is supervised by an honorary board of directors which is elected yearly.
