Getting Around Mexico's Riviera Nayarit - General Overview

The first challenge facing most visitors to Riviera Nayarit is getting from the airport to their hotel.

There are several options available from exclusive VIP transportation, taxis and rental cars all the way down to city busses.

Taxi is the most common form of transportation and can be had by purchasing a ticket inside the airport at rates posted at the ticket counter.

A taxi from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport to the resort area of Nuevo Vallarta will cost about $215 pesos or about US$18, depending on the exchange rate.

Walking out of the airport terminal and crossing the pedestrian bridge will put you at the bus stop where you can catch a ride on a city bus for about 15 pesos.

This is not for the faint of heart and you should definitely know where you are going before selecting this option.
