La Cruz de Huanacaxtle

Locally known as La Cruz, this small, laid back resort town located on the northern side of Banderas Bay features 5 distinct sections of beach stretching over 4 miles of coastline.

Its tranquil golden beaches, including its most famous “La Manzanilla”, attract snorkelers, fisherman and surfers alike.

La Cruz is also home to the new Marina Riviera Nayarit, which is the largest and most modern in the region. Comfortable cafes, hotels and restaurants all blend to deliver the perfect ambiance for a seaside vacation free from the bustle of other larger beach destinations.

Destiladeras

Destiladeras is situated just north of La Cruz off the coastal highway that runs to Punta de Mita. Its fine white sand beaches and the winds that blow across the bay make it a favorite spot for beginners and advanced enthusiasts of surfing, kite surfing and windsurfing.

The area provides an idyllic unspoiled marine setting frequented by humpback whales, sea turtles and dolphins.
