Los Ayala A Sunday afternoon in Los Ayala is a wonderful treat for families.

On the beaches, children play with inflatable toys as parents and grandparents look on, young people play soccer in the sand, and adults enjoy a delicious meal such as traditional grilled fish or ceviche (lime-marinated seafood) at one of the thatched-roof restaurants as they listen to the pleasing notes of a norteño song.

Los Ayala Nayarit is the smallest and most southern of the three towns that make up the region of Jaltemba Bay (along with Guayabitos and La Peñita). The distance from Guayabitos to Los Ayala is but just a stone's throw and the small beach community becomes very popular on weekends as locals flock its golden-sand beach that stretches for one kilometer (0.6 miles).

Its warm turquoise blue waters and impressive bluffs make Los Ayala a beautiful destination fun for the whole family.

Los Ayala beaches include the main beach plus Playa del Beso (also referred to as Playa Freideras or the Los Ayala Kissing Beach) which is just over the steep hill on the south end of the main beach. At low tide Playa Freideritas is also accessible.

This small Nayarit town set among green hills has developed a wide variety of lodging options over the last four years. Typical Los Ayala accommodations include cozy Los Ayala hotels and Los Ayalas bungalows that provide all the comforts of home and unsurpassed customer service so that they can enjoy their stay to the fullest.

And in addition to the tranquility and warmth of its beaches, such as Playa Tortuga and Playa del Beso, this destination also provides visitors with the opportunity to take a boat ride to sites such as Coral Island or Cangrejo Island, snorkel off the shore and explore the rocky depths, ride on the famous banana boat or hop aboard the Party Boat and dance the day away as you sail the Pacific.

Los Ayala weather conditions are very favorable as the Jaltemba Bay area gets 320 days of sunshine each year! The dry, cooler season occurs during winter months and the rainy season occurs during summer months, at the same hot tropical temperatures roll in.

Los Ayala and Jaltemba Bay is only 40 miles (72 km) or 1.5 hours north of Puerto Vallarta.

Come rest and have fun in Los Ayala. Your stay will be rejuvenating.
