Riviera Nayarit, Mexico - Richard Zarkin is the manager of public relations for the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau. Zarkin’s areas of responsibility for the CVB include coordinating all media relations, integrating destination promotions in PR activities, the organization of special public relation events and creative copywriting activities. In addition to these key areas, he oversees the general communication of the managing director.
Prior to joining Nayarit, Zarkin was a sales manager for Lufthansa based in Mexico City, where he began his career in 1991 as manager of in-flight services, also for Lufthansa. In between, he served as customer relations supervisor for United Airlines in Mexico City and, between 1996 and 2001, was a partner and operations manager for Quick Chef in Scottsdale, Arizona. In that capacity he was responsible for conceptual development and product design, marketing and planning.
In addition to his native tongue, Spanish, Zarkin is also fluent in English, French and German.
